Chief Information Officer for Demographic Intelligence, Lyman Stone, is cited in The Atlantic’s article, “The Great Pandemic Baby Bump.” The article comments on how many predicted the pandemic-induced economic uncertainty would further the declining domestic fertility rates. However, 2021 saw the first major reversal in fertility rates since 2007. The surprising baby bump resulted in approximately 46,000 more children being born than anticipated.
